Flavoured gin liqueur is gin which is infused with extra flavours, including fruits, herbs, smoke and salt. Popular flavours include fruits such as damson and raspberry, floral such as violet and rose or spices such as ginger.
A traditional British drink that can trace its origins to the 17th century, sloe gin is made by steeping ripe, frozen sloe berries in gin for several months, and adding sugar. The sweetness level technically makes sloe gin a liqueur, although it must be a minimum of 25% ABV.
