Grain Whisky in Ireland is distilled from one or more of the following: corn, wheat, rye and barley. It may be produced in any kind of still, though it is typically distilled in a Continuous Column Still.
A blend of single grains from two or more distilleries. Single grains are usually known for being light and mild, but some distilleries produce exceptional grain whiskies. Apart from giving real flavour and texture to blends, well-made grain whiskies have a distinct character all their own.
